Terms of Service
Effective November 5, 2026 (7-day free trial added; 30-day refund added November 2).
cardtap is operated by KJ Bucketlist Inv, LLC, an Austin, Texas company ("cardtap", "we", "us"). These terms cover your cardtap page, your account and everything you do on cardtap.me. By checking the box at signup, or by using cardtap, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Affiliate Agreement. If you don't agree, don't use cardtap.
Your page and your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
- Give us a real account email and keep it current. Edit links and receipts go there, and anyone who controls that inbox can edit your page.
- You're responsible for what's on your page: your name, title, photo, links and contact details. Only post what you have the right to post.
- Page names are first come, first served. We can reclaim or change a page name that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is offensive.
Price, renewal and cancellation
- 7-day free trial: new pages start with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card at signup, and nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, your card is charged $79 for the first year unless you cancelled before then. You can cancel any time from the edit page (cardtap.me/edit, then Manage billing). If you cancel during the trial, you're never charged and your page goes offline when the trial ends.
- A cardtap page costs $79 a year, billed through Stripe. It renews automatically each year until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time. Your page stays live through the end of the year you've paid for, then goes offline.
- 30-day refund: if you're not happy, email [email protected] within 30 days of a payment and we'll refund it in full, first year or renewal. After 30 days, payments aren't refundable unless the law requires it. The 30-day refund doesn't apply to pages we shut down for abuse (see below).
- If we ever change the price, we'll email you before it applies to your renewal.
What you can't do
Don't use cardtap, your page, your referral link, or the contacts your page collects to:
- send spam: unsolicited bulk email, texts, DMs or comments, or messages to people who haven't agreed to hear from you;
- text or call people who shared their info with you in a way that breaks the TCPA, CAN-SPAM or similar laws;
- impersonate anyone, mislead people about who you are, or make false claims about cardtap;
- post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- collect people's information under false pretenses, or sell or share it in ways they didn't agree to;
- interfere with the service: scraping, overloading, probing for security holes, or getting around limits.
Suspension and termination
If we decide you've spammed people, abused your page or referral link, or done anything that puts cardtap, our customers, or our payment, email or messaging providers at risk, we can suspend or delete your page and account immediately, without notice and without a refund. When that happens, any unpaid referral commissions are forfeited too. We decide what counts as abuse, acting reasonably and in good faith. We can also end the service for any other reason with 30 days' email notice; in that case we refund the unused part of your year.
Contacts your page collects
When someone uses "Share your info" on your page, their details are sent to you. You're responsible for how you use them. Use them only to follow up the way they'd expect, honor any request to stop, and never add them to bulk marketing without their consent. cardtap itself never texts them and never sells their information.
Our content and yours
You keep ownership of everything you put on your page. You give us permission to host, display and share it as part of running your page (for example, showing it to visitors and generating your QR code and lock-screen images). cardtap's name, design and code belong to us.
Disclaimers
cardtap is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, cardtap won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business. Our total liability for any claim about cardtap is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your page, your content, or how you used cardtap or the contacts it collected for you, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, and you and we both consent to that venue.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email your account address before it takes effect. Keeping your page after that means you accept the update.
